An electric drier was designed fabricated and made by Mr.Ciby himself. It is a simple and low cost dryer with energy saving techniques. It is developed by using plywood on the outside lined by GI sheets inside.
The dryer has two compartments, each with 4 bulbs of 100 watts each. This dryer can be used either fully or on a half mode basis depending on the quantum of material to be dried.
The entire nutmeg mace of this farm is dried using this dryer. Other spices like pepper, cloves, chilies, cinnamon etc. and vegetables like bitter gourd is also dried in this dryer. It is also used to make value added products like nutmeg chunks and Jackfruit in honey.
The drier enables Ciby to fetch increased price for his farm produce and to avoid post harvest losses.
