Ciby has developed an innovative bee hive for rearing stingless bees. It is developed using PVC pipes of 2 inches and 4 inches diameter. The hive is divided into 2 chambers. The upper part is for the bee workers to store honey (honey chamber) and the lower one is the family chamber for the queen bee and workers.
A small hole (Rani gate), designed based on Ciby’s innovation, is provided in the dividing partition that prevents the queen bee from entering the honey chamber. Honey can be collected from the honey chamber without disturbing the family chamber.The honey collected from the innovative bee hive developed by Ciby is found to be pure and of good quality and without any impurities.
